Disintegration

To fall asleep
And never wake up.
To close your eyes
When you’ve seen too much.
To find a friend
When all alone,
And inspiration
Of your own.

To whisper dreams
That can’t be heard,
To find a place
Within your world,
Beyond the stars
A place unknown,
The chance to always
Be alone.

To turn out the moon
When evening lingers
And paint the dawn
With trembling fingers.
To see your future
In the sky,
And stay alive,
Yet want to die.

To feel a smile
Grow on your face.
Within the world
To find a place,
To find a truth,
A paradise,
A private peace
Within your life.

To miss the people
Whom you leave,
To stand up for
What you believe.
To hear the laughter
From above,
Yet want to love
And to be loved.

Fandango

While in sorrow and suffering pain,
A human being, forlorn,
Defying nature’s legal say
That flowers grow from thorns.

Beneath an even rougher sea
We feel the pain within,
But cannot change the way we’ll be,
Nor the life that we are in.

Existence doesn’t pay us back
For giving all we get,
Nor grant us all the joys we lack
In payment of the debt.

And people always try to hide
Form all the things they hate,
But can’t run far while still alive
From what nature shall dictate.

Society makes us work and play,
Cocoons us in its web,
Says what to do and what to say
- Distinguishes live and dead.

Behind the scenes of life’s rich veil
We see the hidden flaws,
And over hear what people say,
The words behind closed doors.

It is a hopeless waste of time,
Existence, birth and death.
Compassion doesn’t  make us kind
Till nature stops our breath.
